5 reasons I love staying at a Hotel

I know that people who travel for a living might be disagreeing with me here but I love staying in a Hotel. Now, I am not talking the low budget, we have been driving for 15 hours from Canada and we are trying to get to Florida for faction. I am talking we have made it, the drive is over and we are checking in!! Sure, your tired, but gosh it's gonna be over as soon as I check in.

  1. Checking in with fantastic Guest Service Agents- Nothing makes arriving at your destination that seeing a smiling face and feeling welcomed. Genuine, caring and authentic is what I am looking for. Not forced and fake.
  2. Getting an UPGRADE when you never expected it- This is one of the best feelings in the world, almost like winning the lottery because you HAVE. All I requested when I booked was a King Non-Smoking room. Overbooked and now I have a SUITE. One word- WINNING!!
  3. Being pampered- Everyone needs to feel important and staying in a Hotel means I can feel that. Having a Bellman bring up my bags for a small amount of a tip means I look like I HAVE more money than I really do but I deserve it, I AM ON VACATION BABY!!
  4. Room Service- Yes, it's expensive, I mean $25-$30 for 2 eggs and some toast and a tea? REALLY? But for one moment, one AWESOME moment, I am felt to feel like a star. I can stay in my comfy robe and escort the In-Room Dining Delivery person into your Suite and relax and enjoy your super expensive feast.
  5. TIME TO EXPLORE- You know, right at this exact moment I am on VACATION. I can wake whenever I like, I get to explore my new surroundings, learn about new Cultures, and see new people.

Whatever your reasons for loving to stay at a Hotel, remember that you should take a few moments and immerse yourself in your surroundings. It may be for business, pleasure or something you didn't expect to force you into this place but try to enjoy just a moment.

Now if you will excuse me, I have my Frette robe on, my giant shades and I am about to hit the pool. I smell a giant fruity drink and a Cabana boy in my future.
